Jorge Galindo is a Spanish sociologist, writer and policy analyst whose work focuses on turning rigorous research and data into practical ideas for social progress. He directs EsadeEcPol, the Esade Center for Economic Policy, founded in 2020 to advance evidence-based public policy. His work there includes research, policy briefs, commentary and events on issues such as housing, household wealth, artificial intelligence in government, rental markets, poverty and employment.
Galindo is the author of Tres millones de viviendas, published by Debate. The book examines Spain’s housing shortage, rising demand and prices, the actors and systems shaping the market, and policy options for expanding housing access. He also writes for El País and publishes Rango abierto, a newsletter exploring opportunities for Spain and Europe, AI and work, and Europe’s role in geopolitics.
He holds a doctorate in applied sociology from the University of Geneva and has been an external political risk analyst for Eurasia Group since 2014.
