Jordan Open Source Association (JOSA) is a non-profit organization based in Amman, Jordan, working towards a better Jordan through openness in technology. Registered under the Jordan Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, JOSA's mission is to promote openness in technology and defend the rights of technology users in Jordan. At JOSA, we believe that non-personal information, such as software code, hardware design blueprints, data, network protocols, and content, should be freely accessible for everyone to use, share, and modify.

We also advocate for protecting personal information within legal and technological frameworks and ensuring open access to the modern web. Since 2011, our association has been actively working across sectors and the country, making a significant impact on ICT policies in Jordan. We reach out to students, teachers, government bodies, ICT professionals, and citizens through advocacy, training, and a wide range of activities and initiatives focusing on open source technologies, open knowledge, open government, and digital rights.
