José Donato is an independent full-stack engineer who builds tools for traders, combining expertise in data visualization, real-time systems, web development, and cryptocurrency trading infrastructure. From 2021 to 2026, he was a founding engineer at OpenBB, where he architected OpenBB Workspace, an enterprise analytics platform for quants, fund managers, and analysts. The browser-based workspace brings together interactive dashboards, data visualization, and AI-powered analysis with enterprise-grade security.

Donato’s independent projects focus on making market activity easier to understand and act on. Cryexc is a browser-based crypto orderflow terminal featuring footprint charts, aggregated order books, heatmaps, a DOM ladder, and a tape feed. Crypto Orderbook combines live liquidity data from more than nine exchanges, while Cryexc Alerts delivers Telegram notifications about liquidations, whale activity, and significant price movements. His other tools include an exchange arbitrage scanner, an L3 order estimator, and PageKit, a browser extension with practical web utilities. He builds open-source trading infrastructure using technologies such as Go, React, C++, and WebAssembly, with an emphasis on real-time performance.
