Josh Bent

The Joshua Bent Memorial Scholarship Fund is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization established in memory of Joshua D. Bent, whose early interest in building and architectural design inspired his family to support students pursuing similar ambitions. The fund provides scholarship assistance to young people studying architecture at Wentworth Institute of Technology in Massachusetts, helping them advance their academic and professional goals.

Its primary fundraising event is an annual golf tournament, which brings together golfers, sponsors, donors, and community supporters. The event features golf, a reception and awards ceremony, refreshments, raffles, prizes, and auctions. Participants can register as individuals or foursomes, attend the reception, or support the tournament through sponsorships and donations. Sponsorship opportunities include course and cart signage, tee flags, and special gifts.

Since its founding, the tournament has raised more than $400,000 for scholarships. The fund also welcomes contributions from people unable to attend the event, with proceeds benefiting future Wentworth architecture students. Through these activities, the organization honors Josh’s memory while helping students pursue careers in architecture.
