The Joshua Tree Community is a brand dedicated to enhancing the lives of young adults with intellectual disabilities. Founded in 2014 by a former public school educator, our mission is to support individuals who have aged out of the school system by providing them with a strong community of volunteers, members, and donors. The Joshua Tree Community takes its name from the founder's late brother, Joshua Sherman, who embodied creativity, resilience, and a zest for life.
Just like the Joshua Tree, our members may grow at their own pace, but they are deeply rooted in our inclusive and supportive environment. We offer a variety of programs and services tailored to the unique needs and talents of our community. Through our dedicated volunteers and partnerships with local organizations, we create opportunities for personal growth, skill development, and social interaction.
