Josme

Josme is a pioneering initiative focused on enhancing the inclusivity, competitiveness, and sustainable innovation of Jordanian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) within the agribusiness sector. Its mission is to empower local SMEs by facilitating their access to both domestic and international markets, particularly targeting new opportunities in Europe. With an emphasis on local traditional products that utilize fewer natural resources, Josme aims to improve the quality and safety of food production through strategic partnerships and dialogue with the Italian private sector.

The project highlights key agricultural products such as dates, pomegranates, almonds, guavas, and prickly pears, proposing a focused approach toward their value chains. By enhancing the capacities and skills of local producers, Josme seeks to ensure compliance with international quality standards and foster better communication between Jordanian and Italian stakeholders. Expected outcomes include improved production quality, expanded export capabilities, and increased support for women and youth in the agribusiness sector, paving the way for sustainable growth and innovation in Jordan's agricultural landscape.
