Joutsi

Jousiammuntaseura Joutsi is an archery club based in Joensuu, Finland, welcoming people interested in archery across a range of styles and disciplines. Founded in 1958, the club has approximately 40 members and describes itself as a general archery association rather than one devoted to a single type of bow. Members use recurve, compound and traditional bows, and participate in target archery, hunting-related archery and field archery.

Joutsi provides its members with opportunities to practise throughout the year, supported by the club’s archery facilities and equipment. For people curious about taking up the sport, the club organizes introductory courses and guidance, helping newcomers learn about archery and how to get started. Its website shares practical information on membership, activities, training groups, courses, events and shooting ranges, as well as resources for current participants.

Joutsi is affiliated with both the Finnish Archery Association (SJAL) and the Finnish Field Archery Association (FFAA). Through its varied activities, the club serves archers with different interests and experience levels in the Joensuu area
