Joyfess, developed by Sand Wagon Games, is a nostalgic exploration of the classic 1990s adventure game genre. With its first episode titled "Martin's Secret Recipe," players step into the shoes of Joyfess Tidesman, a seasoned sailor who must rediscover the joy of adventure through a unique cooking contest. Featuring traditional animation and full voice acting, the game offers a fresh narrative that combines exploration and culinary challenges.
Set to be available on Windows via Steam and Itch.io, Joyfess is engineered to be accessible even to older PCs running Windows 7 64-bit or later. The developers, three brothers from Amman, Jordan, initially created Joyfess as a school project, with inspiration drawn from the beloved Monkey Island series.
Future episodes are planned, with Episode 2 continuing the engaging storyline, while mini-episodes serve as delightful bridges between major releases. Sand Wagon Games is dedicated to fostering community engagement and welcomes players to share and monetize their gameplay footage.
