JPole Antenna is a well-known brand that specializes in the production of high-quality J-Pole and Slim Jim antennas. Founded by Michael Martens in 2001, who is an experienced licensed amateur radio operator himself, JPole Antenna has become a leading choice for new ham radio operators across the United States. With a background in sales and marketing, Michael saw a need for affordable and reliable antennas in the amateur radio community and decided to fill that gap by creating his line of J-Pole antennas.

What started as a spare antenna that gained attention from fellow hams quickly grew into a thriving business. With his marketing expertise, Michael expanded the brand, and by 2015, JPole Antenna became a household name. In addition to producing top-notch antennas, JPole Antenna is actively involved in public service and emergency communications.

Michael serves as an Emergency Communications (EC) coordinator for their local Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES)/Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service (RACES) group and is a certified National Weather Service SKYWARN storm spotter. Recognizing the importance of online video content, JPole Antenna also maintains a popular YouTube channel called Ham Radio Q&A. With over 60,000 subscribers, the channel provides valuable information and guidance to the amateur radio community.

As a long-time member of the amateur radio community himself, Michael is committed to helping new hams get started and succeed in their hobby. He willingly shares his knowledge, answers questions, and offers guidance to anyone seeking assistance. Beyond his passion for ham radio, Michael enjoys outdoor activities like camping, hiking, and photography.

He currently resides in Wausau, Wisconsin, where he embraces the winter season and the outdoor sports it brings. Overall, JPole Antenna is not just a brand but a community-driven organization that aims to empower and support amateur radio enthusiasts with top-quality antennas and reliable resources
