JRI-Poland is a dedicated collective of global volunteers committed to preserving and sharing Jewish heritage and history. Founded in 1995, the organization focuses on indexing Jewish vital records from Poland and has worked tirelessly to build one of the largest online databases of these records. With the help of volunteers, supporters, and agreements with local archival institutions, JRI-Poland has indexed millions of records dating from 1808 to modern times, reaching over six million entries by 2020.

The organization’s mission revolves around making historical records accessible to everyone, thus honoring the memories of ancestors while fostering a sense of community among descendants. JRI-Poland offers various services, including a robust search platform and educational initiatives in partnership with organizations like the Museum of the History of Polish Jews.
