The Japan Society for Aeronautical and Space Sciences (JSASS) is a professional society dedicated to advancing aeronautical and space engineering and supporting the development of related industries. It brings together members and supporting organizations, promotes international exchange, and collaborates with other academic societies in Japan. Its activities span 17 specialist fields, including aerodynamics, structures, propulsion, aircraft design and operation, air traffic management, space systems, and space applications, alongside regional branches and committees.

JSASS provides opportunities for researchers, students, and professionals to share knowledge through conferences, symposia, presentations, and awards recognizing contributions to the field. Its publications include society journals, research papers, conference proceedings, and books, offering accessible information on current developments in aerospace engineering. The society also shares job openings, research funding opportunities, research themes, and award announcements. Through its committees, it supports international collaboration, student engagement, aerospace education, and discussion of topics such as space policy and aerospace business. JSASS welcomes individual and organizational members and provides resources and events for the wider aerospace community.
