JSC Gerthe e. V. is a martial arts club based in Bochum, Germany, founded in 1976 by Grandmaster Verna Dominico Capraro.
Continuing its traditions while embracing modern, practical self-defense, the club offers regular training for children and adults in a friendly, family-oriented setting. Its experienced instructors provide instruction in several disciplines, including Anti-Terrorkampf-Selbstverteidigung (ATK self-defense), All-Style-Do Karate, Jiu-Jitsu and kickboxing. Children can join age-appropriate Jiu-Jitsu groups, where training supports confidence, discipline and motor skills.
The club also offers women’s self-defense, while Aikido is available through a partner club. Classes combine techniques, physical fitness and martial arts values, with practical application and enjoyment central to the experience. Members can train in the disciplines offered multiple times each week.
