About JSFF
JSFF, the Japanese Serbian Film Festival, is a renowned brand that bridges the Japanese film industry to global audiences. As the only bi-city film festival with a comparative themed Film & Art program, JSFF premiers in both Serbia and Japan, offering screenings globally. Established in 2014 as the Japanese Short Film Festival, it was later rebranded to include Serbian cinema, becoming a cultural exchange platform for filmmakers and artists from both countries.
Since its inception, JSFF has expanded its repertoire, now including feature film screenings. In 2022, JSFF was proudly listed in the official program of the European Capital of Culture, Novi Sad. But JSFF is not just about films; it also offers collateral events such as exhibitions, performances, and forums, enriching the festival experience and providing spectators with a themed focus and cultural reference on contemporary global challenging phenomena.
