The Japan Smartphone Security Association (JSSEC) is a Japanese general incorporated association dedicated to improving the safe use of smartphones and related technologies. It brings together expertise to research, discuss, and share practical approaches to security, serving technology developers, businesses, smartphone users, and educators.

For developers, JSSEC examines secure coding techniques and smartphone security risks. For organizations adopting technologies such as IoT, it studies security and other management challenges. The association also creates educational programs to promote safe smartphone use among young people. Its resources include security guides, threat reports, research findings, practical advice, and templates for establishing rules on generative AI use. JSSEC shares its work through articles, columns, workshops, and security forums, and contributes expertise to media coverage. Its published guidance addresses topics such as cyberattacks, mobile threats, and the security of smartphones and IoT devices. Through these activities, JSSEC aims to make security knowledge accessible and useful to the people who develop, manage, teach, and use connected technologies.
