JVT develops a man-portable virtual reality training system for Joint Terminal Attack Controllers (JTACs) and Call for Fire training. Its interim-accredited trainer was developed in partnership with the United States Marine Corps and is designed to help trainees increase practice repetitions and achieve training and readiness codes. The system combines realistic simulation with usability standards inspired by commercial gaming, making it suitable for dedicated training facilities, forward operating bases, and field environments.
JVT’s scalable setup can be networked with other JVT systems over an Ethernet switch, while connections to simulators such as VBS3 or MACE are supported through DIS/HLA. The complete system fits into a rugged, waterproof-resistant, wheeled case weighing 65 pounds, enabling single-person transport. For added realism, JVT offers 3D-printed equipment replicas, including the CLRF-IC, JTAC-LTD, and IZLID-1000, with functional buttons and VR sensors. Varjo XR-3 video passthrough lets users see the real world and work with physical equipment while wearing the headset. JVT also provides sales and customer support and offers a newsletter with updates and expert analysis.
