The J. T. Reedy Sr. Scholarship Fund is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization established in 2003 to honor educator James T. (Terry) Reedy Sr. and continue his commitment to helping students reach their potential. Based in the Reading, Pennsylvania, area, the fund supports graduates of the Reading School District as they pursue academic and vocational goals in college and beyond.
The organization provides scholarships and mentoring to help recipients develop as leaders in their professions and communities. Its Mentor Program has grown to include scholarship alumni, extending support and connection among students and graduates. Since its founding, the fund has awarded scholarships to 244 recipients.
The fund’s work reflects Reedy’s more than three decades of service in the Reading School District, where he encouraged students in the classroom, arts, and sports and founded and directed the Reading High School Musical Theatre Program. Individuals can support the mission through tax-deductible donations and other opportunities to take action.
