Juba in the Making is a unique web-documentary project that explores the vibrant and challenging life in Juba, the capital of South Sudan. Begun in 2013, shortly after the country gained independence, the project has evolved to reflect the realities of a city marked by conflict and economic struggles. Through compelling storytelling and cinematic imagery, it captures the resilience of Juba’s residents, documenting their day-to-day lives, pursuits of education, familial responsibilities, and moments of joy that unite the community through cultural and sporting events.

The project features an interactive map allowing visitors to explore significant locations in Juba, such as the John Garang Mausoleum, Juba International Airport, and the vibrant Konyo Konyo Market. Regular updates ensure that new stories and perspectives continue to enrich the narrative. Juba in the Making invites contributions and comments, making it a collaborative platform that highlights the strength, challenges, and hopes of its citizens while acknowledging the support of its crowd-funders and various partner organizations.
