Judi Madsen's quilting journey began in 2002 with her first handcrafted baby quilt, sparking a passion that would transform into a thriving business. In 2004, Judi and her mother, Gayla, established a longarm quilting business, overcoming challenges to master free-motion techniques. In 2008, they launched Green Fairy Quilts, merging Judi's love for quilt pattern design with her unique longarm quilting style. Judi is the author of two acclaimed books, "Quilting Wide Open Spaces" and "Secondary Quilting Designs," which showcase her innovative designs and quilting techniques.

Judi's dedication extends beyond design; she teaches quilting globally, receiving the Teacher of the Year award at MQX in 2016, an accolade voted by her students. Her online shop offers an array of quilting products, including patterns, fabric, and tools that Judi personally uses in her crafting. As a fabric designer with Riley Blake Designs, her debut line, "Curated Blooms," will launch in November 2024, reflecting her commitment to quality and creativity in the quilting community.
