Dürkheimer Judovereinigung is a welcoming judo club based in Bad Dürkheim, Germany, with a history of more than 60 years and around 150 members. It offers training for all ages and experience levels, from preschool children and beginners to hobby judoka, competitive athletes, returning participants, and experienced Dan holders. Its coaches provide individual guidance in a friendly, supportive environment, where respect, enjoyment, and personal development are central to the practice of judo.
Alongside regular training, the club organizes courses, belt examinations, club outings, holiday activities, and social events such as barbecues. Its signature event is the international Weinstraßenpokal judo tournament, which the association hosts in Bad Dürkheim. Members also take part in competitions and kata events, with athletes achieving results at regional, national, and international levels. The club presents judo as both a sport and a way to develop values such as courtesy, honesty, courage, self-control, and friendship. Prospective members are welcome to try three training sessions free of charge.
