Judo Club Meximieux is a community sports club serving Meximieux and the Plaine de l’Ain and Côtière areas. Founded in 1967 by Michel Charrier, today an eighth-dan judoka, the club welcomes more than 350 members, from children aged four to adults over 75. Its 400-square-metre dojo is located at the Maison des Arts Martiaux in Meximieux.
The club offers judo for children, teenagers and adults, with options for leisure practice and competition. Members can also take jujitsu classes focused on self-defense and Taïso, a fitness and crosstraining activity open to judoka and non-judoka alike. Adult membership provides access to all three activities, and free trial classes are available. Training is open to people of different levels and goals, whether they want to build fitness, develop technique, compete or enjoy learning a new discipline.
Known for its welcoming atmosphere, qualified instruction and committed volunteer team, Judo Club Meximieux also organizes competitions, events and community activities throughout the season.
