Judoschool Ukemi is a martial arts and fitness school serving Lisse and Hillegom, with classes for children, teenagers and adults, from beginners to competitive athletes. Founded in 2018, the school takes its name from ukemi-waza, the techniques used to fall safely in judo. It opened its own facility in August 2024 and holds the official Judo Bond Nederland quality mark, working with experienced, certified instructors.
Its programme includes judo, with introductory movement and safe-falling classes for children aged 2.5 to 3, regular judo from age four, and a competition group for young athletes. From age 15, students can also train in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, focused on ground fighting. LisBoksen offers accessible, energetic bag-work workouts that combine boxing with fitness without sparring, while functional training helps children aged 9 to 14 build fitness and support participation in other sports. Adult options include judo, competition judo, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, LisBoksen and open gym access.
