JugendpreisStiftung

The JugendpreisStiftung is an independent, nonprofit foundation based in Bad Karlshafen, Germany. Since 1994, it has encouraged young people aged 12 to 21 to act creatively, independently, and with social responsibility. Its central initiative is the annual Jugendpreis competition, open to participants in Hesse and the European partner regions of Emilia-Romagna, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, and Wielkopolska.

Each year, young people respond to a shared theme through bilingual submissions such as writing, films, podcasts, and artworks. The foundation recognizes outstanding entries with awards and supports opportunities for exchange and cross-cultural encounters. Through these activities, it aims to foster initiative, intercultural learning, European understanding, and a sense of responsibility in everyday life.

The JugendpreisStiftung operates with volunteer support and is funded by donations.
