Julio's Tennis Academy

Julio’s Tennis Academy provides private and semi-private tennis lessons in San Francisco, led by PTR-certified coach Julio Munoz. A former college player with more than 10 years of local coaching experience, Julio works with children and adults at every level, from beginners to players rated 5.0. Each first lesson includes an evaluation of the player’s experience, technique, strengths, and goals, followed by a personalized training plan. Coaching focuses on areas such as technique, consistency, footwork, strategy, control, power, and confidence, with patient, encouraging instruction and tailored drills.

Private lessons are for one player, while semi-private sessions let two friends, couples, or family members train together and receive individual feedback. One-hour lessons are held at San Francisco public courts, including Holly Park, Saint Mary’s Playground, and James Rolph Playground; court reservations are handled by the academy. Rackets and balls can be provided if needed. Clients can book individual sessions or purchase five-, ten-, or twenty-lesson packages, with savings available on packages. Gift certificates are also offered, and scheduling is available online.
