In 2021, Wawa Welcome America expanded its offerings with the introduction of the Freedom - Liberty programming.

This addition was made in partnership with the African American Museum in Philadelphia (AAMP) and VISIT PHILADELPHIA®. Freedom - Liberty commemorates Juneteenth and explores the historical significance and connections between Juneteenth and Independence Day.
