Jumbunna

Jumbunna Community Preschool and Early Intervention Centre is a community-based, not-for-profit organisation in Casino, New South Wales. Its name means “Talk Together,” reflecting a belief that children and adults can build understanding and acceptance through shared conversation, play and learning. Jumbunna supports children, families and young people through an integrated approach to early childhood education, therapy and family support, with programs serving several local government areas.

Services include a preschool program for children with and without additional needs, delivered through a transdisciplinary team approach, as well as mobile preschools in Wardell, Bonalbo and Stratheden. The centre also offers supported playgroups, parent-infant groups, parenting programs, transition-to-school support and intensive parenting assistance. Therapy services include speech pathology, occupational therapy and therapy assistants, alongside paediatric clinics, assessments and NDIS supports. Families may also access counselling, transport, workshops, support groups, equipment, home visits and multimedia resources. Jumbunna’s mission is to provide specialised early intervention and family support for children with additional needs, while offering high-quality preschool education for all children.
