Jump Start Therapy

Jump Start Therapy, LLC is a pediatric occupational therapy practice serving children from 12 months through 10 years of age in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Its mission is to provide high-quality, individualized care that supports each child within the context of family and school life. The experienced therapists use child-centered, play-based approaches, selecting evidence-informed strategies to suit each child’s needs.

Jump Start Therapy offers evaluations, screenings, consultations, and ongoing one-to-one treatment for challenges involving sensory processing, motor planning, handwriting, developmental progress, fine- and gross-motor coordination, muscle tone and strength, visual-motor skills, attention, self-regulation, and related social or behavioral concerns. The practice also provides occasional home and school consultations, intensive sessions when scheduling allows, and periodic small-group therapy. In addition, its therapists offer training and in-services for schools, staff, and other facilities.

The team includes occupational therapists Kimberly Geary and Susie Stern, whose experience spans pediatric assessment and treatment across varied developmental and sensory-motor needs.
