Jumpstart Kids is an early-learning organization that partners with educators and families to support children ages 3 to 5, when language and learning develop rapidly. For more than 30 years, it has worked to build the literacy, language, and life skills children need for kindergarten and beyond.

Its research-based preschool programs bring trained Jumpstarters into classrooms and learning centers, where they work alongside educators and engage small groups of three to five children through play. This approach offers individualized attention to help develop vocabulary, comprehension, and essential life skills. Jumpstart Kids also provides free resources for families and educators, including activity guides based on picture books, reading lists, and conversation prompts for read-alouds.

The organization’s annual Read for the Record celebration invites millions of children, families, and educators to read the same book on the same day in support of early literacy and access to books. Community members can participate by volunteering, donating, or partnering as a company.
