Jumuisha Initiative is a grassroots youth organization based in rural Makueni, Kenya, with a core goal of promoting the inclusion of all in socio-economic development. Since 2016, they have been working tirelessly in Makueni, Kajiado, Kitui, and Taita Taveta to drive social change and social responsibility among youth and women. By equipping their beneficiaries with skills, knowledge, and a courageous mindset, Jumuisha Initiative empowers them to represent their communities in socio-economic development.

Their vision is to raise responsible, innovative, and active citizens through interactive and participatory value-based training and mentorship. With a mission to inspire and empower the youthful population and communities, their work focuses on capacity building and promoting sustainable positive youth development.

Jumuisha Initiative offers various programs to achieve their mission. Jumuisha Academy serves as their knowledge hub, offering tailored courses in leadership skills, financial literacy and management, and digital learning. They also have a Community Development Unit that enhances community development through advocacy, networking, and capacity building. Additionally, their Environmental Protection Unit drives climate action initiatives focused on enhancing the forest cover and promoting profitable reuse of waste.
