Jura Cheval

Cavalerie de la Petite Montagne is an equestrian centre based in Valzin en Petite Montagne, in France’s Jura region near Lake Vouglans. It welcomes riders throughout the year for instruction, horse-riding experiences and professional training, with an approach focused on understanding and respecting horses. Its services include private lessons, classical riding, equestrian ethology courses covering five learning levels, and guided rides in varied settings, including lakeside, swimming and winter snow excursions.

The centre also offers TREC, outdoor riding, confidence-building and fear-management activities, as well as equi-coaching sessions and group workshops addressing emotions and personal development. Training for horse owners and professionals covers equine health, pasture management for horses, rotational grazing for horses and cattle, and farm support. Visitors can stay in a five-person gîte, a yurt or a refuge, with accommodation and horse-boarding options available.

The centre is led by Anne-Sophie Obellianne, an equestrian guide and instructor with qualifications in ethology, equi-coaching and classical dressage. Its work combines practical learning, observation and a respectful partnership between people and horses
