Just Like Home provides home-based early childhood care and education for families in Wānaka, Hāwea, Queenstown, and communities across Otago and Southland. Its approach centres on warmth, familiarity, small groups, and secure relationships, creating a nurturing environment where children can develop a sense of belonging. Care is delivered in educators’ homes by qualified early childhood teachers who follow the same teaching regulations as childcare centres and kindergartens.

The brand offers tailored programmes for children aged 0–6, with play-based, child-led experiences that support learning at each child’s pace. Children explore through connections with their educator and peers, while educators draw on their knowledge of child development, co-regulation, and early childhood learning. Just Like Home also emphasises close relationships with families and holistic wellbeing, aiming to help children grow as confident, capable learners. For teachers, the organisation offers opportunities to work as home-based educators from the comfort of their own homes. Families can enquire about enrolment and access information about the programmes and care available.
