Stichting Jeugdvakantieweken Tiel is a nonprofit organization that has organized summer-holiday activities for children in Tiel since 1958. Its annual Jeugdvakantieweek is designed for children aged 6 to 12, with a mission to make an engaging, inclusive and affordable week of activities accessible to everyone. The program runs from Monday to Friday and typically includes games, sports, outings and other varied activities, with daily schedules published in a programme booklet. Around 250 to 300 children participate each day, supported by 40 to 50 volunteers who help ensure a fun, challenging and safe experience.

The week generally runs from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., with children staying on site for lunch. Participants usually bring a lunch, while a shared lunch is provided on Friday. Families can purchase tickets for the annual event and consult the organization’s website for schedules, practical information and updates. The foundation also recruits volunteers and welcomes sponsorship.
