The Jelani Washington Seeds of Hope Foundation, Inc. is an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) public charity based in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Founded in memory of Jelani Washington, the organization honors his life and legacy by supporting children and families affected by serious illness, particularly pediatric cancer, and by helping those coping with loss. Its work is guided by five objectives: planting hope, empowering youth, raising awareness, supporting families, and building legacy.

The foundation shares gardens, seeds, plants, and growing experiences intended to bring comfort, beauty, and joy. It also aims to help young people develop confidence, environmental responsibility, healthy habits, leadership, and a spirit of service. Through education, outreach, and partnerships, the organization raises awareness of renal medullary carcinoma (RMC) and other rare pediatric cancers. Its family resources address grief and bereavement, twin and sibling loss, and practical needs such as housing, utilities, essential bills, and cancer-related support. The foundation also promotes fertility-preservation awareness and preserves Jelani’s memory, voice, and values.
