K9 Leadership

K9 Leadership is a dog-training organization serving the North Shore, Metro Vancouver, and the Fraser Valley. Founded in 2008 by Maureen Fielding and her team, it helps people build stronger, lasting relationships with their dogs through clear communication, fair leadership, and positive reinforcement. Its approach encourages socially acceptable behavior while recognizing dogs’ distinctive ways of communicating and exploring scent.

The organization offers puppy training and dog obedience classes, as well as private, one-to-one training for specific behavior goals. Group programs include targeting and clicker training, rally obedience, and urban agility. For dogs and handlers interested in scent-based activities, K9 Leadership provides tracking, trailing, wilderness search, and scent detection courses. Classes use engaging exercises and practical skills to develop teamwork, confidence, and communication in a rewarding environment.

K9 Leadership’s programs support a range of needs, from puppy development and everyday manners to specialized working-dog preparation. Its schedule and team information are available through the organization, which also shares training tips and class updates through its newsletter and social media.
