K-9 Mail

K-9 Mail is an open source email client that caters to those who handle large volumes of emails. With its advanced features, this Android-based app offers a seamless experience for managing your inbox. Created by Jesse Vincent, K-9 Mail was developed as an alternative to the Email app included in Android 1.

0. Vincent sought to bring the power and functionality of the UNIX mail client mutt to the Android platform. The name K-9 draws inspiration from Doctor Who, where a robotic dog named K-9 played a significant role.

Just as the fictional K-9 was an android mutt, this email client aims to be the android equivalent of a reliable mail service. Released under the Apache License, Version 2. 0, K-9 Mail is an open source project with its source code accessible on GitHub.

It provides comprehensive documentation for both users and developers, ensuring a supportive and collaborative community. Discover the freedom of efficient email management by downloading K-9 Mail from leading app stores such as Play Store, F-Droid, and Amazon.
