KA-BAR Knives, Inc., known as KA-BAR, is a renowned brand that specializes in high-quality knives for various purposes. With a history dating back to 1898, KA-BAR has been crafting exceptional military, hunting, sporting, and outdoor survival knives that have stood the test of time. Their extensive range of cutlery products and accessories is available through independent retailers, distributors, mail-order catalogs, and their online knife store.
Each knife undergoes a unique manufacturing process and rigorous testing to ensure corrosion resistance, strength, outstanding edge retention, and a razor-sharp cutting edge straight out of the box. Among their most iconic creations is the USMC KA-BAR knife, initially designed in collaboration with the Marine Quartermaster Department during World War II. Renowned for its exceptional quality, this knife became the go-to option for the Marines and was later adopted by other branches of the military as well.
Today, the USMC Fighting and Utility Knife remains a favorite among servicemen, adventurers, survivalists, outdoor sports enthusiasts, and knife collectors alike. Visit the KA-BAR Visitors Center to immerse yourself in their rich heritage and view antique military and pocket knives, historical photographs, and documents.
