KAAS

The Korea Amateur Astronomical Society is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting amateur astronomy, providing education, and fostering exchange among people interested in the night sky. Its activities support science education and contribute to building public knowledge of astronomy and space science in Korea.

The society trains and provides continuing education for astronomy guides, including structured programs and materials for different qualification levels. It also offers resources for teachers and organizes public astronomy events for young people and adults. Members can take part in gatherings, regional activities, observing events, and opportunities to share knowledge and experiences. The society promotes student participation through a national student astronomical observing festival, and encourages members to showcase their work through astronomy photography competitions and galleries.

Additional services include educational publications, lecture and event requests, membership information, and support initiatives through its Starlight Love supporters’ group. The organization also shares astronomy news, observing information, and member updates.
