KABS is one of Denmark’s largest providers of treatment for alcohol and drug dependence. It offers free support to people experiencing substance-related problems and to their relatives, with tailored treatment intended to help make recovery more manageable. Services include outpatient alcohol and drug treatment, online alcohol treatment, and support for children and young people, including individually adapted treatment for opioid misuse.
KABS also provides specialist treatment for veterans affected by substance dependence, outpatient heroin treatment using medically prescribed heroin, and day or residential treatment. Alcohol treatment is available during daytime or evening hours and does not require a referral. For drug treatment, KABS works with clients and their municipality to help arrange approval.
The organisation serves people and families through its departments in Valby, Hvidovre, Gentofte and KASA. Visitors can take alcohol and drug self-assessments to explore whether KABS may be able to help. With information, guidance and direct access to support, KABS encourages people to take the first step toward treatment by phone or through its contact channels
