About KAFA Violence & Exploitation
Kafa is a Lebanese non-governmental and non-profit women's organization that strives for a society free from patriarchal, discriminatory, and socially, economically, and legally oppressive structures. Since its establishment in 2005, Kafa has been committed to eliminating all forms of violence and exploitation based on gender, and promoting gender equality through various means. Their methods include advocacy for amending and enacting laws and policies, influencing public opinion, changing prevailing practices, mindsets, and patriarchal concepts, conducting research and training, empowering women and children who are victims of violence, and providing them with psychological, social, and legal support and protection.
Kafa's website features testimonials, news, videos, and a section for questions and answers, as well as information on domestic violence laws and personal status laws in Christianity and Islam. Kafa can be contacted through their address in Beirut or via their official social media accounts on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube
