Kagent

Built by the founders of Istio and recognized as a CNCF Sandbox project, it brings agents into familiar workflows using Kubernetes APIs, kubectl, Helm, and GitOps, without requiring teams to adopt a separate platform.

The framework supports a wide range of language models, including OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, and locally run models, as well as agent frameworks such as LangGraph, CrewAI, and Google ADK. Teams can define agents as Kubernetes custom resources, connect tools through MCP, and coordinate agents through A2A. Features include persistent memory, human approval controls, reusable prompt templates, Git-based knowledge, sandboxing, and secure execution.

kagent also provides observability through OpenTelemetry traces, Prometheus metrics, and structured logs, with security capabilities such as RBAC, mTLS, and policy-driven egress. Its open-source project offers documentation, community support, and enterprise-focused agent infrastructure for automating operations, troubleshooting, and platform services.
