KAIJU DECODE 怪獣デコード

KAIJU DECODE is a multimedia science-fiction project presented by Tsuburaya Productions and Toei Animation. Its offerings include a CG animated short, a VR animation, and the MR game KAIJU DECODE -super multiverse MR-. The story also continues in the production KAIJU DECODE: The Ring of Aidara, supported by a creative team that includes writer Katsuya Shibata, kaiju designer Masayuki Goto, and character designers Sei Nakashima and Masatsugu Saito. The cast features Aya Yamane as Maru and Karin Takahashi as Coco.

Set in Sakai, Osaka, the story takes place after a catastrophe in 2070, when falling space stations bring unknown bacteria to Earth. The bacteria alter or merge with earthly matter, creating dangerous beings known as “super-limit organisms.” Humanity retreats from these hazardous zones into protected cities. The narrative follows Maru, a boy raised in the city, and Coco, a girl of the Aidara people left behind in a zone, as they seek a way to live together despite their opposing circumstances.
