Kaipacha Inti is a development cooperation organisation founded in Lardero, La Rioja, in 2000. Its name means “the land where you live and the sun” in Quechua. The organisation has established itself as a reference point for international cooperation in the La Rioja region and develops projects in Peru and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Its work focuses on health, education and economic development, supporting initiatives intended to improve wellbeing, expand learning opportunities and create local employment. Projects highlighted on its website include healthcare and education programmes in Satipo, Peru, support for Asháninka communities, water and sanitation initiatives, and efforts to strengthen agricultural production and small-scale processing. The organisation also features projects in Africa and a hospital project in the Za’atari refugee camp in Jordan.
Kaipacha Inti invites people to contribute in several ways: by becoming a member, making a donation, volunteering, sharing its news or leaving a legacy. It notes that support can include time, knowledge and skills as well as financial contributions.
