Kaizen Aikido

Västerhaninge Kaizen Aikidoklubb is a community club in Västerhaninge, Sweden, dedicated to the practice of aikido, a Japanese martial art with roots in traditional fighting techniques. The club describes its approach through kaizen, a Japanese concept meaning continuous development and improvement, and aims to foster an open, positive and inspiring training environment. Its practice brings together physical and mental training, with aikido explored as self-defence, movement, mindfulness, flexibility and cooperation with a training partner.

The club welcomes beginners, returning members and experienced practitioners; no previous experience or special preparation is required to start. Training includes regular aikido sessions and weapons practice, with some sessions open to all. Instructors bring experience from decades of aikido practice and teaching. The club also holds kyu grading sessions and seasonal events, and shares updates about term dates, schedules, fees and how to find the dojo. Västerhaninge Kaizen Aikidoklubb offers a supportive setting for people interested in learning aikido and developing their skills over time.
