Kaj Seifert Foundation

The Kaj Seifert Foundation for Aspiring Young Artists is a nonprofit organization based in Bozeman, Montana, created to help young people explore and develop their artistic interests. Named in honor of Bozeman musician Kaj Seifert, the Foundation aims to encourage children whose families may not have the resources to support a budding creative pursuit. Its grants assist young artists aged 10 to 17 in starting or continuing artistic activities and building their skills, talents, and confidence.

Funding can help cover practical costs associated with exploring the arts, including music lessons, instruments, arts camps, dance shoes, equipment rentals, and creative software. The Foundation supports a wide range of interests, from dance, music, and vocal performance to graphic arts, ceramics, animation, and videography. Its Spring/Summer 2025 grant cycle supported approximately 44 applicants, helping recipients pursue opportunities aligned with their individual passions. Through financial assistance, the organization seeks to make artistic experiences more accessible and honor Kaj’s enthusiasm for creative exploration.
