Kalamazoo Nordic

Kalamazoo Nordic Skiers is a local grassroots club of cross-country skiing enthusiasts working to make winter recreation accessible in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The group develops and maintains nearby ski opportunities so residents can enjoy the outdoors without making a long drive. Its current work includes grooming skate and classic cross-country ski trails at Milham Park Golf Course, with the goal of providing welcoming routes for both experienced skiers and people trying the sport for the first time.

The club’s website shares trail reports, news, photographs, and information about locations currently being groomed. It also points visitors to local vendors offering ski equipment for purchase or rental, helping newcomers find gear and explore the sport. Donations support the club’s grooming equipment, including fuel and maintenance, and help sustain its trail work. The group describes its effort as a community project built through members’ time, contributions, and hard work. Kalamazoo Nordic Skiers invites the public to enjoy its maintained trails and experience cross-country skiing close to home.
