Kalideos Bretagne

Kalideos is an innovative initiative by the French National Centre for Space Studies (CNES), designed to promote the use of satellite data for various applications in research and development (R&D). Established in 2000, Kalideos supports scientific and institutional users in France by providing access to a comprehensive database of multi-sensor, multi-temporal satellite imagery. This platform facilitates collaboration among users, allowing them to share insights, projects, and methodologies.

Kalideos operates across several study sites, including regions like Alsace, Brittany, and La Réunion, each focusing on specific themes such as agriculture, environmental monitoring, and urban development. The initiative's primary services include access to pre-processed satellite data, in-situ information, and collaborative tools through its Dotcloud platform. Users can engage in thematic exchanges, validate methods, and contribute to a growing repository of knowledge. This unique program enhances the understanding of spatial data applications, ultimately fostering sustainable community development and resource management.
