Kalliope

Kalliope is a brand that houses a comprehensive database of classic Danish poetry and biographical information about Danish poets. Our ultimate goal is nothing short of collecting the entirety of Danish poetry from the past, but for now, Kalliope offers a hopeful representation of this rich literary tradition, with a constantly expanding selection of Danish verse. In addition to Danish poetry, Kalliope also includes foreign poetry, primarily for the purpose of enhancing our Danish collection.

After 70 years following a poet's passing, their works become public domain and can be freely published on platforms like Kalliope. While the collection does not feature the latest poetry, it is permitted to utilize the content of Kalliope for any purpose. Over the years, Kalliope has grown with contributions from various individuals, both small and monumental.

If you have found Kalliope beneficial and wish to express gratitude, you can contribute to the collection in several ways. These include entering missing poems, proofreading texts with source citations, highlighting obvious typos, identifying connections between texts, and providing explanatory notes where needed.
