Kalmy

Kalajoen Metsästysyhdistys Ry, also known as Kalmy Ry, is a traditional and active hunting association founded in 1937. Its work focuses on responsible hunting, wildlife management, nature conservation, shooting sports and kennel activities. The association’s hunting grounds cover approximately 13,000 hectares on the northern side of Kalajoki and are available to its members. With around 330 members, the club supports a shared approach to hunting and wildlife stewardship.

The association maintains a hunting lodge built in 1954 on Oulaistentie, with shooting facilities on site. Its activities include moose and roe deer hunting, and it publishes information about hunting areas, statistics, guest permits and catch quotas. It also coordinates field reservations for dog and hunting trials, including LINT, HIRV, AJOK and DRAJ events, and provides notices about meetings and seasonal arrangements. Prospective members can find information on joining, while existing members can access the club’s rules and contact details. The website also directs visitors to resources from the Finnish Hunters’ Association, the Finnish Wildlife Agency and OmaRiista.
