About Kalundborg Refinery
Kalundborg Refinery is a Danish energy company with approximately 400 dedicated employees. As Denmark's largest refinery, located in Kalundborg, they process up to 5. 5 million tons of crude oil, condensate, and blended products annually.
Their refinery produces propane, naphtha, gasoline, diesel, furnace oil, and fuel oil. All crude oil and condensate are transported to Kalundborg by tanker, and most finished products are transported in the same way. With around 500 vessel arrivals per year, they take pride in their own port facilities.
In addition to the refinery, tank, and port facilities in Kalundborg, the company also operates product terminals in Hedehusene and Kalundborg, distributing gasoline and oil products to large parts of Zealand. As of January 1, 2022, Kalundborg Refinery and the terminals in Kalundborg and Hedehusene have been taken over by Klesch Group. However, their history dates back to 1961 when the oldest parts of the refinery were put into operation.
Over the years, the facility has been gradually developed and expanded, including the addition of a condensate plant in 1995. With their acquisition and continuous expansion, Kalundborg Refinery has strengthened its ability to produce high-value products
