Kalvinknatet

Kalvinknatet is Sweden's largest and most exciting children's running event, attracting over 32,000 children each year. Established in 2002, this annual celebration promotes physical activity and joy among children aged 2 to 10 (born between 2013 and 2021), encouraging them to run at their own pace while enjoying the company of friends. The event is organized by MAI (Malmö Athletic Club) and Skånemejerier, collaborating with local sports clubs across Skåne, Småland, and Halland.

Kalvinknatet offers various race distances tailored to different age groups—ranging from 300 meters for the youngest participants to 1,500 meters for older kids. Beyond promoting fitness, all proceeds from the event support local youth sports programs, fostering a community-focused spirit. With its festive atmosphere, Kalvinknatet not only challenges children but also creates lasting memories of camaraderie and fun. Join the tradition on selected dates in May and June, and experience the joy of running in this beloved Swedish event.
