About Kamkavfarm
Kamkav Farm is a Cambodian cacao company that was established in 2014 by Stefan Struik, a Dutchman, and Chanthol Chean, a Cambodian. Located near the famous Bu Sra waterfall in Mondulkiri, our founders purchased land in a hilly and forested area to embark on a journey into the world of cacao. With a lack of detailed knowledge about cacao, they sought the expertise of Vietnamese specialist Dinh Lam, who provided essential guidance.
Despite facing challenges, such as a devastating drought in 2015 that caused significant losses, our resilience and determination led us to restart and rebuild. In 2018, we celebrated the success of our first cacao pods, making Cambodia the 67th country to produce cacao. What sets our cacao apart is its unique flavor profile, achieved through our organic approach, red soil, altitude, favorable weather conditions, and fermentation techniques taught by Brazilian Prof.
